she works hard for the money.

my dad has been asking me to blog more. i think what he may be forgetting is that i am here working - not here studying abroad or just traveling. most of my days are filled with hours in the office, so that's what i'll write about. get excited. transitioning jobs within a company has proven somewhat difficult - not terrible, just time consuming. unlike when you leave a company and walk out the door, when you stay and switch jobs the emails keep coming, the questions keep coming, and people keep asking you for things. for the first 10 days i was in zurich, i was essentially doing two jobs. this has gotten a lot better and having sent out my 'goodbye email' to the marketing team who i support on friday, i can say i'm almost fully back to doing just one job. joy.

in any case, to share a little more about my work day, i thought i would show some pictures too. i usually get in around 8:30am or 9:00am and this is what i see as i come over the hill from the tram:

from there you walk under a tunnel past another building and then you see this:

and then when i leave around 8:30 or 9:00pm at night (i have been staying late to connect with people in california which is 9 hours ahead) this is what i see.

in any case, i have been blessed with an awesome replacement at work, and my double days are coming to an end. i'm definitely looking forward to the new challenges that are ahead. it will definitely be different.
